Who are we?

Screenset started in 1987 as trade typesetters based in Seaford.

Over the last twenty years we have embraced the rapid technological changes that have shaken up the design industry, constantly searching for the new directions in which we can help our clients create and maintain the image that is right for them.

We’ve seen tracing paper, graphic markers and hot wax come and go. We’ve seen PMTs come and go. We’ve seen the early photo retouching and graphics packages come and go. (When he saw all the old software boxes — Quark, Illustrator, Photoshop, LetraStudio, as well as all those fine stalwarts like Kai’s Power Goo — that went in the skip the last time we moved house our accountant almost had a stroke.)

We’ve seen quite a few “next big things” sink below the waves without a trace. So whilst we’re not cynical (most of the time), we know enough to gently shake our grizzled grey heads when we see some of these young whippersnappers jumping up and down squawking about paradigm shifts and the like. Bless their little cotton socks. As for us, we like to take the long view.

We’ve been in on the desktop publishing revolution since the very beginning. We know the difference between something that can really make a difference and something that is just another flash in the pan.

We work from our own design and production studio. We love good design, modern technology tempered with traditional skills, classic typefaces, solid software, quality typesetting, clean correct code, keeping our promises, and, above all, making our clients so happy that they keep coming back to us again and again.

(We used to be called Screenset Digital Imaging, and before that it was plain old Screenset, so if you’ve got a really old business card of ours it might look a little different from the one that’s around today. But rest assured, we are the same talented, creative and conscientious team that you remember us to be! We’ve also seen ourselves listed as Screenset Design Studios, which is infuriating, but there you go, that’s the web.)

What do we do?

We design for print, web and motion.

The services we offer include branding and corporate identity, print production, web site construction, motion graphics production, and video editing.

Recent projects have ranged from promotional literature, holiday brochures, technical manuals, web sites, web video, digital signage, large format graphics and exhibition graphics to completely re-branding entire companies.

No matter how big or small the challenge, we bring the same attention to detail to every assignment.
